The Norwegian Association of Heart and Lung Patients (LHL) has been a major continuous financial and technical supporter since the inception of Epi-Lab among others. Oslo University had the leading input on HR competence building. Since 1997 to date, the collaboration produced National, Regional and International consultants. The International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) has also provided continuous technical assistance and has designated Epi-Lab as a collaborating centre. Since 2011 Epi-Lab has been designated as a WHO collaborating Centre for Tuberculosis, Lung Health and NCDs.
Epilab has joint projects and programs with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), Imperial college London among others.
Through its international and national linkages, based on quality and relevance Epi-Lab is actively contributing to improvement of public health services delivery in Sudan.
